Secret Surrender

ARC provided by netgalley in exchange for an honest review
Secret Surrender by Priscilla West is book 2 of 3. The books should be read in order.
Book 1: Forbidden Surrender
Book 2: Secret Surrender
Book 3: Beautiful Surrender

This was a quick read and the characters just keep getting better and better. Vincent is a down to earth billionaire who is willing to keep a relationship with Kristan even though he travels most of the time. Kristan continues to work while Vincent travels but she ends up missing him more than she thought she would. But Vincent is willing to try to make it work and have to travel less so he can be with Kristan.

I love how the information about Kristan's past is spread out and shown sporadically instead of told us all at once. It helps build her character and makes the book a better read.

Kristan has a past and Vincent has an ex that shows up. The two together can cause a whirlwind of downward spirals, but surprisingly it doesn't. They both know how to handle things like adults.

The ending was a cliffhanger but to me was predictable. I would have changed it differently to Kristan talking to Vincent instead of doing what she did, but then there prolly wouldn't have been a third book.

I love how the book isn't only about their sex life and relationship. It's also about Kristan's everyday life, but is not a boring read. She always has thoughts of Vincent on her mind, whether they are clean or dirty thoughts, they are always there.

Overall this was a quick, fun, enjoyable read that kept me wanting more. But it could have been in with the first book because it starts right off where the first book left off and goes from there. I give it four stars because nothing is a five star compared to Fifty Shades of Grey.

Recommended for Fifty Shades of Grey lovers and anyone over 16.
